Grandmothers

We had a wonderful visit today from my Grandmother and my Aunt Ginger. It was so great to see both of them. The boys had a great time playing with Aunt Ginger. Grandma got to read them a story before nap. I feel so lucky to still have my Grandmother around. I love listening to her tell family stories. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon!

Bye Bye Pacifier

Anderson took another step towards becoming a big boy last weekend. We finally got rid of his pacifier. Anderson really only used at nap and at night time, but he really loved his pacifier and would ask for every time he went to sleep. Last Saturday we told him he was a big boy and it was time to throw the pacifiers away. He happily agreed and did so. Little did we know that a week later he would still be asking if we are sure all the pacifiers went in the trash.

Cousins

We had a visit this week from Aunt Hollie and the newest member of the family Grey! It was sooo great to see them both! Grey is such a cutie. Colin and Anderson had a great time playing with their new cousin and seeing Aunt Hollie! We hope their visits will be often!

Colin is having a chat with his cousin.

Feeding the Ducks

Across the street from our house we have a great lake full of all kinds of wildlife. Saturday was such a beautiful day we decided to take the boys to the boat ramp and feed the ducks and what ever else we could find. We saw a group of four ducks and one large turtle. The boys had a great time throwing bread for the ducks.

Friday was an awesome day! We went to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia. What a great little zoo! We saw tons of animals (including our own). We went to the zoo with my friend Jennifer and her 4 kids. The kids had such a good time exploring the zoo together!

The Ultimate Cool

Colin's school is celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday all week. Each day the kids had to wear something different, like silly socks or stripes. Today was hat and sunglasses day. Colin looked so cute and grownup in his Monster Truck hat and Wolfpack sunglasses, I had to share! Colin es mas "cool" de su primo Pedro! :0)

Old Freinds New Changes

So I must be on a Florence is getting better kick. We have another reason to like Florence. I have a friend here that I taught with the first time we lived here that has adopted us. Phyllis is one of the few people I kept in contact with after we left Florence. She's the first one I called when we knew we were coming back. We try to make sure we see "Aunt" Phyllis every week. She has become our family in Florence. The kids ask on a regular basis when can Aunt Phyllis come over.
Before
After
We love our new house but we do not love all the colors that are in our new house. This weekend we decided to start making some changes. We started by painting our laundry room. It started out a really gross orange with yellow rag rolled over the top!!! YUCK! After 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of color, it is a wonderful green. It is amazing how much you can do with paint!!
